Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Multimodality Technologist to join our team at Gundersen Health System. As a key member of our Imaging Services department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality Computed Tomography (CT), mammographic, and radiographic exams and procedures to aid in medical diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide individualized care and support.
  • Apply knowledge of radiography and mammography/CT principles to perform patient exams and provide accurate images for radiologists and providers.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during exams, adhering to departmental radiation, mechanical, and electrical safety policies.
  • Provide high-quality service to customers in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Educate patients regarding exams or procedures, and prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within accepted scope of practice.
  • Assume responsibility for providing a quality learning environment for patients, families, students, and coworkers.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory compliance when working with patients and their associated charges.
  • Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and continuing education to stay up-to-date on technical information and best practices.
Requirements
  • Post-high school education in a specialized field.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • One year of clinical experience in a radiology technology program.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered Technologist-Radiography (ARRT) certification.
  • Wisconsin employees must be a Licensed Radiographer with the State of Wisconsin (LICRAD-WI).
  • Iowa employees must have a Permit to Practice from the Iowa Department of Public Health (RADTECH-IA).
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with exposure to infectious diseases. The physical demands of the position include static standing, walking/standing, stooping/bending, reaching, and repetitive actions.
