We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Multimodality Technologist to join our team at Gundersen Health System. As a key member of our Imaging Services department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality Computed Tomography (CT), mammographic, and radiographic exams and procedures to aid in medical diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
- Work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide individualized care and support.
- Apply knowledge of radiography and mammography/CT principles to perform patient exams and provide accurate images for radiologists and providers.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during exams, adhering to departmental radiation, mechanical, and electrical safety policies.
- Provide high-quality service to customers in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
- Educate patients regarding exams or procedures, and prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within accepted scope of practice.
- Assume responsibility for providing a quality learning environment for patients, families, students, and coworkers.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory compliance when working with patients and their associated charges.
- Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and continuing education to stay up-to-date on technical information and best practices.
- Post-high school education in a specialized field.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- One year of clinical experience in a radiology technology program.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered Technologist-Radiography (ARRT) certification.
- Wisconsin employees must be a Licensed Radiographer with the State of Wisconsin (LICRAD-WI).
- Iowa employees must have a Permit to Practice from the Iowa Department of Public Health (RADTECH-IA).
This role requires working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with exposure to infectious diseases. The physical demands of the position include static standing, walking/standing, stooping/bending, reaching, and repetitive actions.
