Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse

Quik Travel Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team for a travel nursing assignment in California.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Labor and Delivery Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for monitoring patients throughout the labor process, providing information and guidance to expectant parents, and administering medications and treatments as ordered.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor patient throughout (before/during/after) the labor
  • Provide information, guidance and hands-on clinical care to expectant parents
  • Monitor fetal heartbeat and length and strength of contractions during labor
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered to assigned patients
  • Provide guidance to new parents on all aspects of recovery and infant care
  • Respond to a medical emergency and alert appropriate team members
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience as a L&D nurse
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing school
  • Current state specific RN license in good standing, or if applicable, a compact state RN license in good standing
  • BLS certification required
