Job Title: Driver, Hourly CDL-A

At Performance Foodservice, we are seeking a skilled Driver, Hourly CDL-A to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and unloading food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver and/or unload products to customers.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip safety checks on the tractor and trailer to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Inspect the trailer to ensure it is properly loaded and secured.
  • Count and verify the products loaded and unloaded, and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL-A license and a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
  • 6+ months of commercial driving experience.
  • Ability to lift and move product cases and freight of varying size and weight.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
