Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Connecticut Children's. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating fluoroscopy equipment and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures on pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate fluoroscopy equipment and perform a variety of procedures on pediatric patients
  • Apply prescribed ionizing radiation to produce diagnostic quality images
  • Responsible for coverage at off-site locations as needed
  • Perform routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures
  • Follow infection control standards and maintain sterility
  • Review and assess the overall quality of images taken
  • Maintain adequate stock levels and personal protection equipment
  • Actively participate in the maintenance of stock
  • Display accuracy in proper EPIC documentation and image annotation
  • Guide non-radiology personnel in safe radiation practices
  • Perform equipment quality assurance and record accordingly
  • Assist in training of staff
Requirements
  • Minimum one year experience as a Radiologic Technologist practicing in Pediatrics
  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in good standing
  • Current State of Connecticut Radiographer License
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of date of hire and maintained thereafter
