Developmental Disability Therapist Lead

The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Developmental Disability Therapist Lead to join our team at Aspire Chicago. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and will be passionate about making a difference in their lives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert behavior therapy, develop personalized support plans, train and collaborate with team members, and help individuals build skills for healthy relationships.
- Collaborate with people and their support teams to provide behavior therapy assessments, create individual behavior support/enrichment plans, consult with and provide training for team members, and promoting skills for healthy relationships that help people thrive.
- Present plans and obtain approval from required committees, obtain approvals and documentation for plan implementation, review plan progress and share updates with people and their support network, facilitate social development groups, promote individual rights and rights knowledge, and provide billable services in accordance with DHS standards and meets billing targets for position.
- Provide training to team members and support persons for plan implement, perform observations in various settings, provide real time consultation/coaching on supports and interventions, review treatment integrity and provide feedback to team members and supervisors, provide team member training; crisis intervention, intervention techniques, and related topics, model intervention techniques and respond in situations when interventions are needed.
- Monitor and manage corresponding data collection, provide training for data collection to team members as needed, complete/maintain documentation for corresponding committees and provider appointments accurately, timely, and in accordance with DHS and Aspire standards, complete/maintain required treatment documentation timely, accurately, and in accordance with DHS and Aspire standards, track and submit billing data timely, accurately, and in accordance with practice standards, participate in individual and team supervision, participate in team and organization projects and committees, cooperate with compliance, quality improvement, research, and grant funded initiatives, and complete required training timely, maintains credentials.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology or human services field with at least 1500 hours of qualifying supervision for Behavior Therapist role, or Master's in behavior analysis, psychology, special education, social work, or related field for BCBA role.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required for either credential type.
- Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to write reports and professional correspondence, ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from families, employees, and the public, working knowledge of PC operations and software including Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, ability to use and adapt to various industry specific software products including an Electronic Health Record, ability to prepare and maintain records including maintaining private/confidential information, ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional documents, technical procedures, and regulations.
