Job Title: Special Inspector for Concrete and Masonry Structures
Location: New York, NY
Estimated Salary: $75,000 annually (based on experience)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and certified Special Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction materials testing and possess the necessary certifications to perform inspections of concrete and masonry structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct special inspections of concrete and masonry structures in compliance with NYC Building Code and industry standards.
  • Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and clients to ensure accurate and efficient inspections.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Certifications:

  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician (Grade 1)
  • ACI Concrete Special Inspector or ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector
  • ICC Reinforced Masonry Special Inspector

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in special inspections or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of construction practices and materials testing.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites within the NYC area.
