Responsibilities
  • Follow established diagnostic sonography procedures to deliver high-quality images to physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Integrate education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to execute safe and precise procedures.
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
  • ARDMS Certification required: RDCS-Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider issued by the American Heart Association.
  • General knowledge of diagnostic cardiac sonography principles, procedures, and views as well as the operation and maintenance of imaging equipment.
  • Capable of performing routine cardiac sonographic examinations and possessing a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Good time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and related information systems (Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS)).
Working Conditions

This is a short-hour position with varied shifts, including every other weekend. The pay range for this role is $51.84 to $63.22 per hour.
