Land Acquisition Manager

Lennar is seeking a skilled Land Acquisition Manager to play a key role in the acquisition of land, lots, and development opportunities that align with the company's strategic growth plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify potential land acquisition targets through thorough market research and networking with real estate professionals, landowners, and other industry experts.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Land to facilitate due diligence processes and ensure timely completion of contracted projects.
  • Participate in weekly land acquisition meetings to update senior management on potential deals and provide market insights.
  • Assist in rezoning processes, attend meetings with government officials, engineers, and home/landowners to ensure successful project execution.
  • Maintain accurate inventory reports, critical dates, contract summaries, and periodic market analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Network with other builders and developers to stay informed about market trends and opportunities.
  • Assist in negotiating terms and specifics of purchase and sale agreements, working closely with the company's outside attorney.
  • Work with the region attorney to acquire necessary approvals for contract execution.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the 5-year business plan, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Provide weekly contract status reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferrably a degree in business administration, engineering, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including word processing, spreadsheet analysis, project scheduling, and data management.
  • Strong knowledge of sales and negotiating principles, as well as real estate practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Valid auto insurance coverage.
