Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Automation Systems Technician to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining computer-based control systems that control and monitor a building's mechanical and electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, and maintain building automation systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Apply knowledge of various building trades, such as electrical, mechanical, telecommunications, and information systems networks, to computer-based control systems and building automation and environmental control energy equipment.
  • Interface with customers, architects, engineers, and contractors to install and service building automation systems, including project start-up and commissioning.
  • Troubleshoot, fix, and update HVAC systems and associated controls.
  • Download, update, and verify software accuracy.
  • Calibrate and test HVAC systems and controls.
Requirements:
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems & HVAC Control Engineering.
  • High School Diploma or greater.
  • Experience with Honeywell and Johnson's HVAC systems is preferred.
  • Strong skillset of commercial HVAC products, installation, and mechanical understanding.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC functions, ductwork modifications, and design.
  • Great communication skills with both clients, coworkers, and project managers.
  • Strong leadership skills and work ethic.
  • Strong analytical and logic skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of precision on detailed work.
  • Must have a stable background/work history.
