We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Software Engineer to lead our initiative in transitioning our applications to the AWS Cloud. This role is available at two levels: Software Engineer III and Software Engineer IV, with the final selection based on the applicant pool's qualifications and the business unit's requirements.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the analysis, design, development, and implementation of application modernization.
  • Collaborating with a team of software engineers to ensure successful end-to-end delivery.
  • Leveraging your cloud expertise to execute a modernization strategy that aligns with business objectives.

Work Arrangement:

This position supports a hybrid work model, requiring onsite presence at least two days per week.

Leadership and Collaboration:

In this role, you will:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Influence technology decisions across various departments.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative products and processes that drive functional success.

Technical Expertise:

As a Cloud Solutions Engineer, you will:

  • Work with diverse technologies and support multiple projects across various business lines.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify application development solutions and enhance existing programs.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard software development methodologies and frameworks.

Additionally, you will:

  • Document, analyze, and troubleshoot issues, implementing effective solutions.
  • Respond to audit reviews and findings related to existing applications.
  • Apply appropriate software development life cycle methodologies to achieve desired outcomes.

Qualifications:

For Cloud Software Engineer III:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems (MIS) preferred, with three years of relevant experience in application development.
  • Alternatively, an AA degree in a related field with five years of experience.

For Cloud Software Engineer IV:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS preferred, with five years of relevant experience.
  • Alternatively, an Associate degree with seven years of experience.

Common Requirements:

  • Proven technical proficiency in multiple application development languages and frameworks.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is essential; familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Azure is a plus.
  • Knowledge in information assurance, security management, and enterprise application integration is required.
  • Proficiency in technologies such as AWS cloud services, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Python, PostgreSQL, and version control systems.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with creative thinking.
