Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to join our team at Petco. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales and profit growth, ensuring excellent customer service, and leading a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Leader in achieving sales and profit goals through effective inventory management, visual merchandising, and customer engagement.
  • Lead and develop a team of sales associates to provide exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient receiving, stocking, and backroom maintenance processes.
  • Monitor and control labor costs, ensuring optimal staffing levels to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with the Store Leader to develop and implement business plans, strategies, and initiatives to drive sales and profit growth.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a pet-related industry.
  • Proven track record of driving sales and profit growth, with a strong focus on customer service and team development.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
