Job Description:

The Clinical Mental Health Services Professional will play a vital role in providing clinical mental health services to inmate patients in a correctional or detention facility. As a seasoned Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing clinical supervision and guidance to any mental health professionals assisting you.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical and consultation services consistent with professional standards and institutional policies and procedures.
  • Conduct direct clinical services including diagnosis, treatment, psychological testing, and crisis intervention.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards of care and participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Develop and implement goals and objectives for clinical services and assist in staff recruitment and selection.
  • Notify appropriate personnel of serious incidents and provide professional education and staff development as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in psychology and experience with mental health delivery systems.
  • Significant professional experience in the mental field that indicates knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders and psychological evaluation techniques, including psychological assessment instruments.
