Key Responsibilities:
- Respond efficiently to incoming calls and messages from patients and caregivers.
- Conduct thorough telephone assessments to evaluate patients' medical concerns, following established protocols to determine the necessary level of care.
- Offer compassionate medical advice and instructions based on assessment findings, ensuring a patient-centered approach.
- Direct patients to suitable medical facilities or providers as needed, adhering to approved guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions in the electronic medical records system, ensuring clarity and completeness.
- Assess medication refill requests, verifying their necessity before forwarding to the appropriate provider.
- Monitor patient distress signals and escalate cases as necessary to ensure prompt care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care and follow-up.
Qualifications:
- Current Georgia LPN license and graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pediatric care.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on empathy and patience.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with electronic medical records.
- Experience with Clear Triage software is advantageous.
Work Schedule: This position requires on-site availability Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts.
