This position is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a clinic setting, adhering to the standards and values of CommonSpirit Health. The successful candidate will be engaged in direct patient care, including assessing, coordinating, and evaluating patient needs, as well as delegating tasks to the patient care team.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver professional nursing care to patients, performing diagnostic testing and related clinical procedures as needed.
- Triages nursing situations in accordance with established protocols, addressing complex, urgent, or emergent situations as necessary.
- Administers patient medications per written provider order, tracks and logs medication usage, and inventories controlled substances.
- Assists with point-of-care testing and lab tests, following established protocols and instructions.
- Documents procedures and interactions in patient electronic medical records, entering, pending, and signing orders as appropriate.
- Prepares patients for practitioner visits, rooms patients, and obtains and records vital signs and other relevant information.
- Organizes exam rooms, including cleaning, upkeep, and restocking supplies, and prepares, cleans, and sterilizes instruments and equipment.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence, understanding how patient populations' cultures can affect communication, collaboration, and the provision of care, treatment, and services.
Qualifications- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
- One year of RN work experience in a clinic setting or two years of acute care RN work experience preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
