Certified Nursing Assistant 2, Surgical Oncology Stepdown, Full-Time

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 to join our team in the Surgical Oncology Stepdown Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Responsibilities:
Provides personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Assists with meals and feeds patients, ambulates, turns, and positions patients. Administers enemas, douches, and non-sterile dressings. Performs sugar and acetone urine testing, specimen collection, and post-mortem care. Answers patients' call lights and requests promptly. Maintains a safe and attractive environment for patients and staff. Transports patients and equipment. Reports patient conditions to the assigned nurse. Measures and records food and liquid intake and output, and checks and records vital signs. Provides patient help with walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed. Performs minor physical therapy routines. Collects urine samples, attaches EKG leads, and removes catheters. Assembles, monitors, and discontinues feeding of intravenous nutrition. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Certified Nursing Assistant license. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail. Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines. Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary. Commitment to the University's core values. Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
