About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled High Voltage System Engineer to join our team at the Architect of the Capitol. As an engineer in this role, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining high voltage electrical systems that support the operation of the U.S. Capitol Building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and test high voltage electrical systems, including 13,800 volt and 4,160 volt systems
  • Maintain and operate electrical equipment, including motors, lights, and starters
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical issues
  • Install and maintain communication telephone systems and other associated equipment
  • Lay out and install electrical wiring jobs, including the installation of complete electrical systems

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in high voltage electrical systems
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Master's license in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Ability to work on rotating shifts, including nights and weekends

Estimated Salary

$100,000 - $130,000 per year
