Western & Southern Financial Group is seeking a skilled Security Guardian to ensure a safe working environment for associates. This role involves providing a secure environment, controlling access to Company property, and performing various security duties.

About the Role

The Security Guardian will work as part of a team to provide a safe working environment for Company associates. This includes protecting Company assets from loss due to fire, severe weather, theft, and vandalism. The Security Guardian will control access to Company property by ensuring appropriate identification and credentials of associates and visitors.

Responsibilities

  1. Monitor alarm and access control systems, and respond within established procedures to all signals.
  2. Make required patrols inside and on the perimeter of Western & Southern Financial Group property.
  3. Monitor CCTV and radios, and respond within established procedures.
  4. Act within established procedures to control access and provide a safe working environment for Company associates.
  5. Maintain records, and make written reports.
  6. Maintain a professional appearance.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
  8. Comply with all policies and standards.

Requirements

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
  2. Proven experience with a military, state, county, or municipal police agency or private police training (Required).
  3. Proven experience making sound decisions and using good judgment in day-to-day responsibilities and in emergencies (Required).
  4. Proven ability to prepare correspondence, reports, and forms using a prescribed format and conforming to proper rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.
  5. Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect or interpret data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  6. Possesses and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to convey information, verbally and in writing, to internal and external customers in a clear, accurate, focused, and concise manner.
  7. Willingness to work any shift and make interior and exterior patrols by foot.
  8. Requires visual acuity to be observant to conditions and situations necessary to maintain the security of Company premises and to read a variety of correspondence, reports, and forms.
  9. Physical capability is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Requires ability to climb steps, reach, bend, kneel, and crouch as well as defend one's self against attack. Must be able to lift a maximum of 25 pounds.
  10. Must be able to hear auditory alarms and observe closed-circuit security monitors.
  11. Required to dress professionally and maintain Company-furnished uniforms.
  12. Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  13. Ability to learn security-related software.
  14. DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Valid driver's license with a satisfactory and safe driving record required. Upon Hire (Required).

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Work Setting/Position Demands:

  1. This position works in both inside and outside environmental conditions.
  2. Position is required to remain in a continuously stationary position (sitting or standing) for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer, or with other office and security equipment and while on foot patrol.
  3. Extended hours required during peak workloads or special events.
  4. Work outside during all shifts and all weather conditions.
