Position Summary

The Cashier is responsible for managing monetary transactions using cash registers, electronic scanners, and other related tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers as they approach the service area.
  • Process payments through cash, credit, or debit cards for purchases.
  • Assist customers with inquiries or any pricing issues.
  • Ensure accurate financial transactions by reconciling the cash register at the start and end of each shift.
  • Identify product prices and calculate bills using available technology.
  • Help customers understand the menu, address complaints, or provide necessary information.
  • Package purchased items appropriately.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Outstanding customer service abilities and a strong work ethic.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in operating cash registers and calculators.
  • Basic math skills for making change.
  • Familiarity with company products and customer service policies.
  • Dependable transportation and punctuality.
  • Willingness to accept guidance from management and represent the company positively.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Successful completion of on-the-job training.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, typically 8 hours or more.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks over prolonged periods.
