About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team at The Heart Institute Bradenton. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the efficient completion of diagnostic studies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Nuclear Medicine exams in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Administer prescribed pharmaceutical grade radioactive materials to patients, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Implement and maintain radioactive materials safety measures to protect patients, staff, and the environment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort and understanding.
  • Operate and maintain sophisticated radiation detecting, processing, and imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate seamless patient care and efficient department operations.
  • Adhere to strict quality control and quality assurance guidelines to ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned to support departmental functions and contribute to a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree and graduation from a Nuclear Medicine Program (NMTCB) and/or ARRT (N)
  • Preferred: At minimum 1 year experience as a NM Technologist
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT (N)) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • State Regulated Radiological Tech or Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) through the Texas Medical Board
  • Current certification for BLS Healthcare Provider required as per St. David's HealthCare policy
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
