Job Overview

Position: Information Systems Security Officer

Location: Bethesda, MD

McIntire Solutions is looking for a dedicated ISSO to provide support for our client in Bethesda.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior ISSOs in the implementation and enforcement of information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Help prepare and maintain essential documentation.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of security solutions to ensure compliance with security requirements for classified information processing.
  • Support configuration management for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Maintain comprehensive records for workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, intelligent hubs, network switches, etc., including system upgrades.
  • Propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS.SCI clearance with CI Poly.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. This experience should include at least one (1) of the following areas: knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation, communication protocols, and encryption techniques/tools. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution is required. Compliance with DoD 8570 at IAT Level I or higher is mandatory. Alternatively, four (4) years of additional ISSO experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
