Job Overview

Grady Management Inc. is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at Maplewood Apartments, a 300+ unit apartment community in the Chesapeake, VA area.

The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry, appliance repair, heat pumps, plumbing, apartment turn-over, and punch-out, as well as strong customer service and team leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the condition of community grounds are clean, safe, and cleared of any debris, trash or weather-related matters.
  • Proactively fix and repair items as identified and as reported by residents.
  • Participate in all maintenance projects and after-hours emergency work.
  • Troubleshoot appliances and other technical issues.
  • Perform daily inspections to ensure the community meets our high standards.
Requirements
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus
  • A Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation to be used onsite in a daily manner.
  • 18 + months of experience in apartment maintenance.
  • EPA 608 Type II or Universal Certification and heat pump experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
