Job Summary

Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. is seeking a skilled Rigger III to join our team in Honolulu, HI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine and analyze structures and equipment to determine necessary installations, services, or repairs.
  • Monitor tool and part inventories, and ensure adequate working conditions in industrial shop locations.
  • Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
  • Perform related work as required.
  • Compile operational and personnel records, including time and production records, inventory data, repair and maintenance statistics, and test results.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2-6 years' experience performing rigging requirements at the journeyman level in support of Naval or commercial ship maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Naval shipboard conditions and working environment.
  • Knowledge of non-verbal (hand) rigging commands and experience working with cranes and weight testing ship's weight handling systems and equipment.
  • Experience rigging Naval shipboard equipment, including structures, pumps, valves, motors, electronic equipment, anchors, generators, and other equipment subject to be rigged off vessels for repair and/or replacement.
  • Knowledge of the operation and limitations of common portable weight handling equipment associated with the rigging trade.
  • Able to obtain and maintain access to military and government installations and private shipyards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completed a journeyman level rigging training program at a Naval Shipyard.
  • 2-6 years journeyman rigging experience at a Naval Shipyard.
  • 2-6 years rigging experience at the journeyman level at a commercial Master Ship Repair certified shipyard.
  • Meets the requirements of ANSI/ASSE A Rigging Qualifications and Responsibilities in the Construction Industry.
  • 2-6 years rigging experience as a SIMA or RMC Production Shop rigger.
Work Environment

This position involves heavy lifting, frequent stooping, bending, crawling, reaching, and possible working assignments in overhead structures, confined spaces, or beneath machinery either indoors or outdoors in noisy conditions.
