Job Overview

As a Child Welfare Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting children with intellectual disabilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Creating and executing tailored care strategies for each child, reflecting their unique assessments, requirements, and aspirations.
  2. Facilitating access to essential services and resources to address the holistic needs—physical, emotional, educational, and social—of the children under your care.
  3. Regularly reviewing and assessing the progress of each child, making necessary adjustments to care strategies and interventions.
  4. Working in partnership with social workers, therapists, educators, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive support for the children.
  5. Organizing and leading regular case discussions and team meetings to evaluate cases, exchange insights, and synchronize services.
  6. Championing the rights and best interests of children within the child welfare framework and with external organizations.
  7. Keeping precise and current case documentation, reports, and records in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
  8. Providing immediate support and guidance to children and staff during critical situations.
