Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care Assistance: Assist patients with bathing, grooming, feeding, and toileting, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
  • Prepare Residents for Meals: Set up and serve meals, assist with feeding, and collect trays in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Transfer and Lift Patients: Safely transfer and lift patients, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Monitor Patient Conditions: Obtain temperatures, urine samples, weights, and intake/output as directed by medical staff.
  • Ensure Patient Comfort and Dignity: Regularly check on patients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and privacy.
  • Perform Related Duties: Assist with oral care, nail care, and basic hygiene, as well as bathing and dressing patients.
  • Communicate Effectively: Relay information to the next CNA on shift or to the nurse in charge, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Post Mortem Care: Provide respectful and compassionate care to patients and their families during the post-mortem process.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited CNA program, licensed, certified, or registered with the state, and active AHA BLS Certification.
  • Experience in CNA Role: Evidence of 1 year of experience in the role of CNA, with a strong understanding of patient care and support.
