Position Title: Bilingual Immigration Lawyer (Spanish and English)

Specialization: Removal Defense and USCIS Services

Position Summary:

We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Bilingual Immigration Lawyer fluent in both Spanish and English to enhance our practice focused on Removal Defense and USCIS services. The successful candidate will possess a robust understanding of immigration law, outstanding communication abilities, and a commitment to representing clients who are navigating removal proceedings and the intricacies of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver thorough legal representation for clients involved in removal proceedings, including asylum applications, cancellation of removal, waivers, and various forms of relief.
2. Conduct detailed legal research and analysis to formulate effective strategies tailored to each client's unique situation.
3. Draft and submit motions, briefs, and other legal documents to immigration courts and USCIS.
4. Advocate for clients during immigration court hearings, USCIS interviews, and other legal proceedings.
5. Engage with clients to clarify legal options, provide updates on case status, and address any inquiries or concerns.
6. Collaborate with fellow attorneys, paralegals, and support personnel to ensure efficient case management and the provision of high-quality legal services.
7. Remain informed about changes in immigration laws, policies, and procedures to effectively represent clients and offer accurate legal counsel.
8. Participate in community outreach and educational initiatives to promote awareness of immigration issues and resources available to immigrant populations.
9. Maintain organized and precise case files, records, and billing information in line with firm policies and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law institution.
2. Active bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
3. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in immigration law, particularly in removal defense and USCIS matters, although recent graduates who have passed the bar may be considered.
4. Fluency in both Spanish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
6. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
7. Demonstrated dedication to serving immigrant communities and promoting social justice.
8. Proficiency in legal research tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience in representing clients in complex removal cases, including those involving criminal matters, domestic violence, and trafficking.
2. Prior experience working with vulnerable groups, such as unaccompanied minors, asylum seekers, and victims of persecution.
3. Additional language skills beyond Spanish and English, especially in languages commonly spoken within immigrant communities.
