Clinical Lead RN

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Clinical Lead to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to our clinical team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide work direction and guidance to clinical staff, ensuring the coordination of resources to support procedures and day-to-day operations.
- Support direct patient care by performing the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic, and quality care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Coordinate the needs of the patient care team, promoting communication among patients, families, hospital departments, and medical staff to optimize interdependence.
- Act as a resource to employees, providing training, orientation, and day-to-day work direction, and giving input on performance.
- Assist with human resource responsibilities, including interviewing and selection of new employees, resolution of employee concerns, and employee morale.
- Monitor employee assignments and work on assignments for the unit, evaluating staffing levels and making adjustments as necessary to maintain productivity.
- Monitor the quality of care provided, ensuring policies and procedures are followed in compliance with the medical center, nursing department, and regulatory agencies.
- Provide input to budget and ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available for patient care and a safe work environment.
- Work with management to develop new and existing programs and services, and participate in product trials and in-services for equipment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Health Related Field; or Associate Degree and enrolled in BSN program within 2 years of hire and complete BSN degree within 5 years.
- Typically requires 3 years of experience in clinical nursing within an acute care setting.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance. Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste, as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
