Assembly Engineer

Rochester Electronics is seeking a skilled Assembly Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high-yielding, cost-effective processes for back-end semiconductor assembly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain knowledge of new developments in manufacturing and design technologies.
  • Develop and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) for process optimization using statistical analysis software.
  • Evaluate and validate process and design alternatives based on product manufacturability.
  • Understand principles of cost of goods sold and develop process improvements to increase cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Working knowledge of MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-STD-883, ISO9001, and EIA/JEDEC standards.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
