Job Summary:

As a Meat Cutter Apprentice at Shaw's, you will be responsible for operating various meat processing machinery, utilizing knives to cut and prepare meat products, inspecting and grading meat products, and maintaining division markdown policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate saws, grinders, and other meat processing equipment to prepare meat products.
  • Use knives to cut, trim, and prepare meat products to meet quality standards.
  • Inspect and sort meat products to ensure quality and freshness.
  • Inspect displayed products for expired dates and remove them when necessary.
  • Take special orders from customers and provide special cuts to meet their needs.
  • Maintain division markdown policy to ensure accurate pricing and inventory management.
