Job Description

Elevate Semiconductor is seeking a highly skilled Director of Test Engineering to lead our test engineering team in San Diego. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing test strategies that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the test engineering discipline, including managing direct reports, standards, and infrastructure.
  • Design and develop test software, load boards, and probe cards to test complex VLSI SOC devices.
  • Develop high-level test engineering strategies by product families and develop test programs for multi-site testing.
  • Work with outside vendors to develop load boards and sockets for new devices.
  • Requires strong understanding of Analog IC testing techniques and ability to run standard translation tools.
  • Develop ATE characterization programs for critical data sheet parameters and work with designers to develop complex test methodologies.
  • Expert in large-scale ATE platforms and bring up and support test programs at overseas vendors.
  • Support Product Engineer, FA, and QA teams for production qualification and customer issues.
  • Work with team members and vendors to define ATE test specifications and drive test reviews.
  • Support early-stage ES and CS activities and coordinate with Product Engineers and Quality Assurance on Yield Management Systems.
  • Responsible for developing strategic plans for test platform transitions and site-to-site ports and qualification.
  • Actively enhance the network of suppliers and contractors to support insource vs outsource workloads and future roadmap needs.
  • Responsibility for process documentation of critical activities and be the point of contact for ISO and customer audits.
Requirements
  • Minimum requirement of B.S.E.E. with 8+ years of direct Test Engineering experience.
  • Strong experience in complex Analog test development and mixed signal background for ADC, DAC, PLL.
  • Programming experience in C, C++, VBT, Linux, Unix environments and general knowledge on Test Correlation, GRR, and NPI Flow.
  • Capable of taking products from first silicon to final production with minimal supervision and test program version control in SVN Repository or GIT.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like PERL, AWK to parse data logs and formatting.
