Job Summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Medical Social Worker III to join our team in Los Angeles, California.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessments, coordination, and implementation/evaluation of professional social services to patients and their families.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with departmental and medical center policies.
  • Perform bio-psychosocial assessments and provide crisis intervention/treatment to adults, children, and families.
  • Provide counseling services to patients and/or families based on clinical assessment and consistent with patients' ongoing medical condition/needs.
  • Advocate for patients and families within KP and the community.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Counsel of Social Work Education.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California).
  • Minimum one year of experience working as a MSW in medical acute care setting or as part of a medical team.
