At Hackensack Meridian Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and supporting the growth and development of our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide operational and administrative support to Nurse leadership, ensuring the smooth functioning of our oncology unit.
- Coordinate staffing, support throughput, quality and safety outcomes, staff competency, hiring, clinical and staff corrective actions, unit efficiency, quality care, and other departmental activities.
- Assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate nursing practice and the nursing care delivery system with direct supervision of front-line staff.
- Interpret, support, and communicate policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance and adherence.
- Serve as a role model for staff in all aspects of nursing, promoting professionalism and quality care.
- Assist in identifying cost containment measures and implementing alternative measures of product utilization within the department.
- Serve on-call based on unit requirements and assume special projects as assigned.
- Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license required.
- BSN required; MSN preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required.
- Demonstrated clinical competence with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
- Oncology nursing experience preferred.
- Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification preferred.
- National Certification acceptable to the Magnet Recognition Program and appropriate to your current specialty (within two years of hire).
- Prior assistant manager or supervisor experience preferred.
