Job Overview:
The Custodian will perform general custodial duties to include cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
Employees in this role will use proper materials and methods to ensure areas are clean and free of safety hazards.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and maintain facilities, including offices, break rooms, and restrooms.
Sweep, mop, or vacuum floors as needed.
Empty and clean wastebaskets, trash containers, and cigarette urns.
Clean and sanitize restrooms using established practices and procedures.
Refill restroom dispensers.
Assist with setup for meetings, classrooms, conferences, and events.
Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
Wash accessible interior and exterior windows and clean blinds.
Requirements:
Ability to utilize a wide array of custodial chemicals and operate custodial equipment safely.
Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
Computer literacy to use business software and enter data.
Human relations skills to build effective working relationships.
