Job Summary

As a Healthcare Support Specialist at Adventist Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed registered nurse (RN)
  • Perform tasks associated with activities of daily living, including assisting with nutrition and hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning devices, restraints, and restorative care
  • Take vital signs, including pulse and blood pressure
  • Help patients with their basic needs, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Perform routine assigned tasks and report patients' status and concerns to the RN
Requirements
  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification: Preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification: Required
  • Phlebotomy Certification: Preferred
  • Audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP: Preferred
