Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment, preparing patients for exams, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Responsibilities- Operate imaging equipment, including CT scanners, to produce high-quality images of patients.
- Prepare patients for exams, including explaining procedures, positioning patients, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and patient areas.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques, and participate in ongoing education and training.
- 1-2 years of experience in radiology or a related field.
- Previous experience with CT scanners and other imaging equipment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- New Jersey license to practice as a radiologic technologist.
- ARRT certification preferred.
- IV certification preferred.
This is a 13-week contract position, working Saturday and Sunday 7am-11pm, and Monday 7am-3pm. The manager is flexible with hours as long as the weekends are covered. The primary work location is in the CT department, with occasional floating to other areas of the hospital.
