Medical Dermatopathologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Dermatopathologist to join our team at Leesburg Dermatology & MOHS Surgery. This is a full-time or part-time opportunity to work in a private practice setting with a high volume of skin cancer cases.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and analyzing skin cancers, working closely with our dermatologists to provide accurate and timely results. A strong background in anatomical and clinical pathology, as well as board certification or eligibility in dermatopathology, is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform histopathological examinations of skin biopsies and other specimens
  • Provide diagnostic reports and recommendations to dermatologists
  • Collaborate with dermatologists to develop treatment plans for patients
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must hold an M.D. or D.O. degree, be certified in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology, and have board certification or eligibility in Dermatopathology. A minimum of 2 years of experience in dermatopathology is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
