Job Summary:

As a Class A CDL Driver at United Rentals, you will play a critical role in meeting the Trench Safety needs of our customers by delivering equipment in a safe, timely, efficient, and courteous manner. This position requires a valid Class A CDL with an acceptable driving record, as well as a minimum of 2 years of DOT-regulated commercial driving experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Delivery: Safely transport and deliver construction equipment to customers, adhering to all safety requirements and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, serving as a company ambassador and suggesting additional equipment and supplies customers may need.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers, consistent with DOT classification CDL-A, and boom trucks and cranes in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Logistics and Administration: Maintain driver's logs, complete pre-trip inspections, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years DOT-regulated Commercial Driving Experience
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs
  • Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures
  • Diligent attention to safety
  • Shift requires availability 5:30 pm - 3 am
