Material Handler

Job Summary:

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient processing of medical waste.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate the loading and unloading of carts
Maintain the cleanliness of the unloading area
Conduct quality control checks on carts for damages, lack of lids, handles, and overall cleanliness
Operate the box waste scale station as required
Monitor and record scale weights for billing purposes

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to work days, nights, overtime, and weekends as required
Strong attention to detail and ability to work as a team member
Must have reliable transportation and be able to lift loads of 50-75 pounds
