About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our team at Koch Industries. As an Electrical Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing the electrical production function in our manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of electrical staff to ensure efficient use of resources and high-quality work.
  • Plan and assign daily work tasks to optimize resource utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all electrical systems and equipment within the facility.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide timely solutions to ensure minimal disruption to production.
  • Work with project leaders to manage the installation of new electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ensure all installations comply with electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and manage the electrical maintenance budget to optimize resource utilization and minimize costs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for electrical maintenance and reliability to ensure high-quality work and minimal downtime.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support overall facility performance and contribute to the success of the organization.
Requirements
  • Five (5) or more years of electrical experience in a heavy industrial setting.
  • Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or military environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, drives, and control systems.
  • Working knowledge and experience with MS Word and Excel, and other PC-based production and maintenance reporting applications.
  • Experience routinely utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or other similar problem-solving tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Proficient with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree or higher in a related technical field.
  • Previous experience in a wood products manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience as an Electrical Supervisor.
  • Experience with power distribution, Allen Bradley PLC (studio 5000), Powerflex drive, HMI, and Robotics.
