Sodexo is actively seeking a Lead Supply Chain Strategist to become a vital part of our team. This position is accountable for the strategic procurement and category oversight of food service and facility disposable products.


The ideal candidate should have a background in supply chain management, exceptional negotiation capabilities, proficiency in managing RFP processes, and the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.

Proven experience in the disposables sector is highly preferred.

Primary Responsibilities Include:


Ongoing assessment and enhancement of procurement methodologies with expertise in sourcing for managed categories, budgeting, and forecasting of supply chain revenue, as well as analyzing expenditures to uncover opportunities in non-contracted areas while ensuring a comprehensive strategic sourcing process is executed across all categories.


Lead Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) initiatives, which encompass bid preparation, evaluation of proposals, and negotiation of pricing.


Collaborate with leaders at all organizational levels to pinpoint opportunities for the collaborative development of products and/or services that result in cost savings and revenue generation.


Negotiate Supplier Agreements that provide value to market segments, including optimal pricing, service, quality, and conditions, while aligning with organizational objectives.


Oversee supplier relationships through quarterly Business Reviews to ensure adherence to supply agreement terms and conditions and to strategize on new opportunities that add value to the organization.

Develop procurement initiatives that support Sodexo's corporate goals, including Supplier Diversity and sustainability objectives.


Assist operational market segments with cost reduction strategies; unit openings and closings; implementation of supply chain programs and resolution of program challenges.


Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental supply chain theories, principles, and concepts.

Exceptional negotiation skills

Experience with disposable product contracts

Extensive knowledge and technical expertise in managed categories to achieve results.


Understanding of commodity and market indices that influence the cost structure in the production of category products managed by the position.

Familiarity with contract terms, including but not limited to insurance and indemnification, termination clauses, audit provisions, and federal regulations.


Comprehensive knowledge of RFI and RFP processes, along with detailed scope of work generation to ensure accurate bid responses from qualified bidders.

Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain strong strategic supplier relationships that benefit both the purchaser and the supplier.

Intermediate/Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Familiarity and/or experience with Power BI is strongly desired.
