About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our team at Astoria Place of Cambridge. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working closely with our licensed nurses to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as mobility, grooming, and dining functions
  • Provide care that meets all standards of care as set forth by Astoria Place of Cambridge, under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Document all care, interventions, and events in patients' records
  • Follow infection control principles, policies, and procedures
  • Communicate changes in resident conditions or treatments to RN supervisor and appropriate disciplines
Requirements
  • Completion or enrollment in State Approved Nurse Aid Training and Competency evaluation program
  • High school Diploma or G.E.D. preferred, not required
  • Previous experience in working in a nursing home/long term care and in working with elders preferred but not required
  • Graduation of State Approved Training Program and successful completion of Nurse Aide examination to be a State Tested Nurse Aide preferred
