TotalMed Allied is seeking a skilled Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in a dynamic healthcare setting. As a Cath Lab Tech, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures in the catheterization laboratory, including coronary and peripheral angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements.
- Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, including fluoroscopy and imaging systems.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Provide exceptional patient care and education, ensuring patients understand their treatment options and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Catheterization Laboratory Technologist in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
