General Summary: Reporting directly to the Nursing Leadership, the Nurse Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care programs. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nursing staff, and support personnel, to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction. The Nurse Coordinator also plays a crucial role in educating patients and their families about their health conditions and treatment plans.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Successful completion of the required pharmacology assessment.
  • Current clinical knowledge in the specialty area is essential.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Three to five years of progressive clinical nursing experience in the specialty is required.
  • Certification in the specialty area is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills to develop effective nursing care plans.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including knowledge of Word and Excel.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in Michigan.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification as per organizational policy.
