- Leverage expertise in Endoscopy and Gastroenterology nursing to deliver high-quality care.
General Summary: Reporting directly to the Nursing Leadership, the Nurse Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care programs. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nursing staff, and support personnel, to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction. The Nurse Coordinator also plays a crucial role in educating patients and their families about their health conditions and treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Successful completion of the required pharmacology assessment.
- Current clinical knowledge in the specialty area is essential.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Three to five years of progressive clinical nursing experience in the specialty is required.
- Certification in the specialty area is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills to develop effective nursing care plans.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Basic computer proficiency, including knowledge of Word and Excel.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in Michigan.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification as per organizational policy.
