About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Controls Applications Engineer to join our team in developing cost-efficient and compliant controls solutions based on customer specifications.

The primary objective of this position is to concentrate on the development of automation system concepts, price estimates, written proposals, and compliance matrices for lead Application Engineers.

  • Review all Customer RFQ Controls Specifications to ensure Concept & Proposal conformance.
  • Take lead role in compliance matrix development based on customer specifications.
  • Development of Controls Architecture/Design/Concepts for all Proposal Applications.
  • Develop and maintain practical working controls knowledge.
  • Provide the Controls description write-ups for Customer Proposals based.
  • Provide Material & Labor Cost Estimates for the Controls portions of all System Proposals.
  • Perform Price and Technical Reviews for the Controls portions of all Proposal Applications.
  • Maintain the Controls portions of the Estimating Cost Library.
  • Participate in On-Site and Off-Site Customer Presentations & Meetings.
  • Attend all Applications Engineering Concept Review Meetings.

This role requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, and/or other degrees.

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in relevant field.
  • Demonstrated applicable industry experience.
  • 10+ years' experience in automation, machining building, manufacturing, or robotics.
  • Past management experience in leading technical teams.
  • Experience in Material Handling / Distribution Warehouses a plus.
  • Experience in Process Control (Food/Pharmaceutical) a plus.
  • Experience in Product Design helpful.
  • Concepting abilities.
  • Industry specific estimating capabilities.
  • Robotic programming and interfaces.
  • Rockwell and Siemens products and software suites.
Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $115,000 - 125,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
