Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Comprehensive Care: Conduct age-appropriate health, social, and developmental assessments using relevant tools and methodologies.
  • Develop and Implement Care Plans: Integrate patient health history and physical assessment data to develop a suitable plan of care and teaching strategy that includes the family/caregiver's role.
  • Collaborate with Patients and Families: Work with patients, parents/family, and significant others to implement, evaluate, and modify care and teaching plans as necessary.
  • Perform Nursing Treatments and Tests: Administer nursing treatments and tests, including wound care, infusions, medication administration, venipuncture, and tube feedings, under physician orders.
  • Accurately Record Data: Record all pertinent data in accordance with facility information systems and protocols.
Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse License: Possess an active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment.
  • Experience and Education: Have at least one year of experience as a Pediatric RN within the last five years and meet the minimum education requirements.
  • Certifications and Skills: Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification covering infants, children, and adults, and possess effective communication skills with clinical and non-clinical staff, children, adolescents, and family/caregivers.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  • Work Settings: Work in clinics, schools, hospitals, doctor's offices, or occupational settings providing daycare for children.
  • Physical Capabilities: Possess the ability to stretch, reach, bend, stoop, twist, sit, walk, and climb stairs, and frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
