Job Summary

Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a skilled Dietitian to join our team. As a Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting healthy eating habits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement patient care plans based on evidence-based practice and nutritional needs.
  • Interpret and evaluate current research related to nutritional care and apply findings to patient care.
  • Counsel individuals and families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, and food selection.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare teams and patients to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in health team meetings and serve as a nutrition expert.
  • Promote communication between departments to facilitate patient care and provide nutrition education to hospital personnel and the community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or related field.
  • Registration as a Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Licensure as a Dietitian in Iowa.
  • Certification as a Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition (CSO) or Diabetes Educator (CDE) may be required for certain positions.
