Microbiological Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Microbiological Analyst to join our team at B&G Foods. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

• Perform chemical, physical, and microbiological analyses on ingredients, WIP, and finished goods as directed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Communicate results promptly and provide technical support to other departments and manufacturing locations as necessary.
• Prepare samples for analysis at third-party laboratories as required and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Document all quality control activities, calibrations, and maintenance performed and update the chemical register on an annual basis.
• Maintain accuracy and precision standards by successfully participating in proficiency testing programs.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or related field preferred.
• 2 years in chemical and food analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with JD Edwards, PKMS/Atomic a plus.
• Good analytical and mathematical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and flexibility.
