The Department of Nursing at Avera McKennan requires all nurses to practice at a competent level of nursing care and demonstrate a competent and professional level of behavior in their role as a RN. The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide nursing care for the patient, assuming responsibility and accountability for individual actions and outcomes of patient care delivered on their shift.
Requirements- Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
- Certification in specialty preferred.
Varied shifts between days and nights, with a $3 shift differential available for hours worked between 7p and 7a, $2 on weekends, and $5 on weekend nights.
The hourly range for this position is $46.50 per hour, with actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
