Job Summary

CoolSys is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration equipment to ensure customer satisfaction and meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration equipment, including compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and electrical and mechanical control devices.
  • Provide preventative maintenance activities for customers by diagnosing equipment malfunctions and operating deficiencies.
  • Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of work history and process job tickets and work orders efficiently.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • EPA certification.
  • Certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school is a plus.
  • Minimum 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience required.
  • Experience working on refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with single systems and rack systems, as well as previous work on display cases and walk-in boxes, is highly desirable.
  • Must have a good driving record and be able to work independently.
  • Emergency on-call availability is a basic requirement.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. with no assistance and sit or stand for several hours at a time.
