The Administrative Clerk role is a critical part of our team, supporting the operations of a local Field Office for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve and bundle government-requested files, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
  • Re-shelve files returned by government personnel, maintaining a secure and organized workspace.
  • Connect incoming correspondence to shelved files, facilitating efficient information sharing.
  • Assist with naturalization ceremonies, including printing and distribution of naturalization certificates and retrieval of documentation from applicants.
  • Provide support during ceremonies, escorting applicants and collecting and logging green cards.
  • Assist with the processing of forms and applications used in the adjudication process.
  • Scan large multi-page documents, maintaining accurate and secure records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust/Suitability Clearance under the Department of Homeland Security from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding English
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs. or more in a physical environment
  • Ability to perform tasks while bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching
