Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Pet Grooming Trainee. As a key member of our Grooming Salon, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in pet grooming, while providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist experienced groomers in the salon, learning various pet grooming techniques and procedures.
  • Participate in our comprehensive training program, which includes hands-on experience and classroom instruction.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, understanding their pets' needs and preferences.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for our clients and their pets.
Training and Development

We offer a comprehensive training program that will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in this role. Our program includes:

  • Stage 1: Bather - Gain hands-on experience in our salon, learning about different dog breeds and styling.
  • Stage 2: Grooming Academy - Attend our paid Grooming Academy, where you will receive in-depth training on breed styling, pet care, and grooming techniques.
  • Stage 3: Groomer Trainee - Apply your new skills and knowledge in a real-world setting, working alongside experienced groomers.
  • Stage 4: Pet Stylist in Training - Continue to develop your skills and knowledge, building strong relationships with clients and their pets.
What We Offer

As a Pet Grooming Trainee at PetSmart, you will enjoy a competitive hourly rate, ranging from $16.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on location and experience. You will also have access to benefits and opportunities for career advancement.
